Can alcohol be part of a healthful diet? Experts say it can, but, as with most things, moderation is key.

    DID YOU KNOW?
    While drinking alcohol raises a woman's risk of getting breast cancer, it's possible that that increased risk may be mitigated or offset by maintaining adequate intake of folic acid. You can get this B vitamin from leafy greens, citrus fruit, fortified cereals and dietary supplements (including daily multivitamins).

    While the two terms are often used interchangeably, several readers have pointed out that folic acid is the synthetic (manmade) version of folate, the form that occurs naturally in foods. Folic acid is the form used to fortify grains and included in dietary supplements.
