GK Answers your questions

GK,
Do you not feel a film about Lake Wobegon characters would detract from the pictures we as listeners hold for them in our imaginations? Mr. Altman's film worked well as a visualization of your radio personas, but I cannot imagine any actor giving the Lake Wobegon characters so true a portrayal.

I'd love to see Lake Wobegon portrayed in a movie. I am curious to know what they look like and what they talk about. Fiction is a bold venture into the dark and this seems to me to be a natural step. But I intend to write the screenplay.

Pretty Good Jokes

the latest and greatest from the joke machine

The circus comes to a small town and needs local acts. The Ringmaster sets up an audition at the big top. Guy walks in and the ringmaster says, "OK, whats ya got?"

The guy starts flapping his arms up and down real fast and up he goes — flies right to the top of the big top, he does loops and circles and buzzes the ringmaster. He lands at the ringmaster's feet and says "TAA-DA!"

The ringmaster says impatiently, "Thats it?!? Bird imitations?"

This joke was sent in by Dennis W., of Coshocton, OH. Thanks Dennis!
