Consumer prices move higher on energy costs
Most other prices were tame, suggesting the sluggish economic recovery will keep inflation in check in the months ahead.
A report yesterday showed U.S. producer prices jumped 1.8 percent, sparking sell-offs in both stocks and government bonds.
